Automotive OEM Sales Manager

Molex, Inc is one of the world's largest, global manufacturers of electronic, electrical, and fiber optic connectors and switches.

The company, which has over 42,000 employees in 39 countries, designs and manufactures interconnection systems that are used in many different applications.

These include automobiles, smartphones and tablets, medical devices, factory automation, network servers, routers, and home appliances.

Molex sells products both directly to manufacturers and through distribution.

The Automotive OEM Sales Manager will lead a team to sell and promote Molex products specific to the Molex Transportation Solutions & Connected Mobility Solutions Business Unit across Ford Motor Company vehicle segments either through the original equipment manufacturer (OEM customer) or Tier 1's in North America.

The Automotive OEM Sales Manager reports to the Sales Director - Ford Global Account Management.

The candidate selected for this position will be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning.

This person will also need to be a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment.

He/she must be accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel.

What You Will Do:


* Sell and promote Molex product solutions through interaction with established vehicle segment contacts while developing new strategic prospects.


* Meet or exceed account growth targets with respect to profit, and project pipeline.


* Align and execute account strategies in-line with Global Account strategy.


* Develop, implement, and maintain a sales plan for Ford Motor Company North America segment.


* Identify and develop new market segments for long-term profitable growth within Ford Motor Company.


* Collaborate and align with Molex division and product leadership teams to develop and drive profitable growth across Molex product lines.


* Manage a team of 3-5 direct-report team members (Account Managers), align team's roles & responsibilities to the sales plan.


* Develop, mentor and coach team members to strengthen and build the team to support and continue drive future growth.


* Assists customers by supplying information related to samples, delivery dates, part drawings and specifications, quality issues, credit issues, etc.


* Interface directly with multiple management and working level customer contacts, in order to build customer relationships and drive growth opportunities.

Who You Are:


* 8+ years of successful and relevant sales/account management experience within the automotive industry.


* 3+ years in a sales manager role with proven history of developing direct reports.


* Sales management experience at a systems level Tier 1 supplier.
