Temp AP AR Specialist

Purpose of Position:

Reviews, confirms approval of, and pays invoices, bills, charges, and obligations of Concessions International.  Reviews questionable requests for payment with Manager.

Key Responsibilities:   
1.

Full Cycle Accounts Payable
2.

Prepares invoice headers for various operating units.
3.

Assures that requests for payment have appropriate approvals in accordance with company payment authorization guidelines.
4.

Processes company obligations for payment in accordance with accepted accounting standards and company accounting policies and procedures.  Prepares invoice packages for mailing to corporate office.
5.

Performs initial investigation of questionable, duplicate, or lost invoices; follows up on issues referred from field operations.
6.

Investigates past due invoices and follows up on vendor inquiries.
7.

Investigates outstanding accounts receivable bills
8.

May perform other accounting support duties as assigned.

Decision-Making Authority:

Position exercises some judgment on a daily basis in administering accounting transactions and in providing information to managers and outside parties.

For decisions of a technical or policy nature position clears with department manager or general manager.

Education/Previous Experience:

High school diploma.  Minimum of 2 years of work experience in accounts payable, general accounting, or a related activity, preferably in a hospitality, food service, or retail environment.

Specific Skills Required:

Knowledge of basic accounting transactions and bookkeeping procedures.

Proficient in data entry and relevant computer applications.

Good organizational and knowledge of office administration and procedures.

Customer service and team oriented.

Language Skills:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence.  Create correspondence and memos; ability to interpret documents.  Ability to effectively communicate information individually and in group situations to customers, co-workers and staff.  Must be approachable and effective with communicating with all levels in the organization.

Mathematical Skills: 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
