Summary - basic function of the role

The primary function of this position is the service and certification/calibration of torque multipliers, hydraulic wrenches and hydraulic pumps for customer orders.

Major responsibilities of this position include disassembly, trouble-shooting, assembly, test, and package of the tools received.

The products are usually standardized as to design and function, and methods applied are generally prescribed or standardized.

Other specific items may include, but not be limited to requesting replacement parts from suppliers/planner, scheduling of product flow and positively influence the Lean efforts throughout the organization.

Shift: Monday - Thursday; 5:00 am - 3:00 pm

Job Duties and Responsibilities



* Order management responsibilities include reviewing customer paperwork for accuracy and type of work requested, creating a folder to collect repair order documents and to provide a quote for the cost of repair/calibration to the Inside Sales Rep.


* Calibration-Certification of Accuracy Testing duty includes performing and documenting the actual testing/calibration of product on specialized testing equipment.

Products are tested to loads as high as 83,000 ft-lbs of torque.

Responsibilities also include observation of test equipment to ensure that it is properly maintained and calibrated.


* Repair of tools responsibility includes disassembling, inspect, troubleshoot, replacement of parts, and reassemble tool checking for proper operation.

Knowledge required for this function includes basic understanding of gear trains, mechanical systems, and electrical circuits.

Occasional use of an electrical multi-meter is required.


* Do cleaning, fitting, filing, tapping, reaming, blending, polishing and aligning to ensure free action of movable parts and operating requirements.
