Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Title: Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Reports to: Senior Logistics Manager

Location: Tampa, FL

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent work experience (5- 10 years working in logistics and warehouse)

Experience: Experience in operations, project management, supply chain

management, with shipping and receiving experience in warehouse operations.

Languages: English

Skills/Software: Computer skills Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook,

NSE or similar software (Advanced level required).

Traits: Candidate for this position will be required to manage multiple warehouses and travel.

Candidate should have excellent written and communication

skills.

Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills.

Should have logistics and supply chain experience.

Committed to teamwork, flawless

execution and deliver cost effective freight solutions to support the fleet.

Be alert, ambitious, hard-working, detail oriented, ability to lead and give

instructions while promoting a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:


* Project management / Team leader.


* Vendor management to include freight negotiations.


* Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks.


* Ability to work independently and safely.


* Ability to efficiently communicate via email utilizing Microsoft Outlook.


* Accurately maintain company database in (NS).


* Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks (professional forklift certification is required / Company will provide if needed).


* Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 80 lbs.


* Must be detail oriented with ability to receive and document all materials delivered to the warehouse.


* Typing and record keeping skills necessary to provide accurate information for managers, buyers, and other shoreside or vessel personnel regarding warehouse inventory.


* Maritime Industry experience preferred but not required (TWIC card will be required / Company will provide if needed).

Duties and Responsibilities:


* Inventory: Maintaining accurate inventory of products in all warehouses.


* Shipping: Setting up and managing schedules for shipments and negotiating shipping rates.


* Supply chain: Planning and managing the supply chain to ensure cargo is delivered to vessels on a timely basis.


* Team management: Supervising, scheduling, and overseeing warehouse team members.


* Safety: Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and enforcing safety regulations.


* Quality assurance: Inspecting products for defects and overseeing quality assurance in the warehouse.


* Budgeting: Planning and analyzing budgets and expenditures.


* Customer service: Maintaining constant communications with vessel and offshore personnel to include resolving complaints.
