Internship - Accounting/Regulatory

RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Collaborate with a variety of Superior Water Light & Power Regulatory and Accounting staff members to complete projects relevant to the day-to-day operations of the organization


* · Potential projects may include, but are not limited to:



* Analyze and interpret cost records


* Participate in the calculation of new or updated rate offerings


* Aides in completing regulatory and rate applications and reports


* Assists with the monthly accounting close process, journal entries, reconciliations, and other tasks

Learn and apply knowledge of compliance and records across multiple utilities
REQUIREMENTS:


* Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between June 2026 and June 2027



* Preferred majors include: Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics

Computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite Skills (i.e.

Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to work with a variety of people in changing situations

Ability to work on multiple projects

DETAILS & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:


* This internship will report in person to Superior, WI


* This internship will be from June 2025 – May 2026.

The expected hours are full time during the summer and part time during academic terms up until graduation.
