Job Purpose

Responsible for owning, leading, and designing the operational elements of ACI's Risk Program & Framework.

This individual will also provide risk and compliance advisory services with regards to operational risk.

This position will ensure that ACI has the operational programs and processes to manage ACI's business and operational risks.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities


* Leads and executes on the operational elements of ACI's Risk Framework.


* Own and takes responsibility for the following activities within each operational risk process: training, communications, process / program adherence, effective challenge, process improvement, policy creation, documenting procedures, tools / technology, escalating risk information, reporting to appropriate forums.

* Issue Management:
+ Owns the process by which risk issues are managed and remediated, including remediation plan oversight and risk acceptances.
+ Provides risk and compliance advisory services to the first line to build out a full understanding of the risks to ACI and its clients, and to provide effective challenge on whether remediation plans are appropriate and sufficient.


* Loss Events
+ Designs and leads the process that provides management with insight into operational losses, including root cause analysis and impact to ACI and its clients.
+ Escalates high-impact loss events to leadership and facilitates stakeholder awareness.


* Risk & Control Assessment
+ Enhances and leads the process by which the first line assesses assessment unit risk and associated controls, including oversight of downstream risk-based testing.


* Risk & Compliance Advisory
+ Develops deep subject matter proficiency across ACI enterprise risk programs; partners with risk program owners, assesses trends, and recommends adjustments to programs where appropriate to proactively address evolving needs of ACI and its clients.
+ Serves as the primary liaison between ACI business partners and risk & compliance program leads.
+ Collaborates within ACIs horizontal and vertical functions to address risk and compliance advisory and support needs; consults with business leaders and stakeholders on solutions based on good internal models and advice.


* Supports the Head of Risk Management with Board and Executive Leadership communications and materials.


* Partners and builds trust with key business partners; is a respected and sought-after resource.
