Natural Gas Utility Engineer - Transportation Market

Responsibilities:


* Distribution / Transmission Engineering: Responsible for Distribution / Transmission line engineering.

Duties may include preparing, providing guidance or assist in preparing and developing the engineering deliverables for Natura Gas distribution / transmission projects, including: line routing, pipe and valve sizing, regulator stations, cathodic protection, railroad and stream crossings, plan and profile drawings, material selection, construction specifications and all associated calculations.


* Utility Relocation Engineering: Involved in relocation plans' design for highway construction projects including those funded by State DOTs.


* Frequent client contact and supervisory responsibilities included.

Minimum Qualifications:


* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (BSCE), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), or other related degree from an accredited four-year college or university.


* 5-10 Years of experience in Natural Gas Utility design and coordination.


* Registered Professional Engineer, or ability to become registered within 12 months.

Willingness to acquire licenses in other states.


* Familiarized with DOT Plans production and procedures.


* Experience in Natural Gas Utility design and construction coordination related to DOT roadway projects preferred.


* Computer-Aided Drafting experience (MicroStation and or Open Roads experience a plus).


* Natural gas system design and/or construction experience


* Good written and oral communication skills


* Experience in the utility industry
