OPERATOR BLASTER

Responsibilities:


* Operate blast equipment to clean, deburr, or prepare metal castings for finishing according to established procedures and safety guidelines.


* Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure proper blasting techniques are used based on the type and condition of castings.


* Inspect finished workpieces to ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as necessary.


* Perform routine maintenance on blast equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.


* Handle and store abrasive materials in a safe and organized manner.


* Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste materials.


* Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.


* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and deadlines.

Requirements:


* Proven experience operating blast equipment in an industrial setting, preferably in a foundry or manufacturing environment.


* Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings.


* Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect workpieces for quality and accuracy.


* Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.


* Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.


* Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to equipment operation.


* Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
