Summary/Objective

The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our valued clients.

In addition, you will recommend technical solutions to a varied industrial customer base, support outside sales, and generate quotes.

The candidate must have a positive attitude, be a good communicator and have the technical skills to provide timely & accurate solutions to customers' applications.

Experience with reading curves, using manufacturers' selection software, and troubleshooting technical problems.

Candidate must be a detail-oriented problem solver and a positive team player.

A candidate with a B.S.

in Engineering or other relevant subject.

Essential Functions


* Sizes & Selects technical products & services, as well as provide engineering information to client base.


* Prepare cost estimates and quotations by reviewing customer specifications and other related documents.


* Respond to phone, and email correspondence from customers, manufacturers, and outside sales team.


* Gain customer acceptance by explaining product application including product features & benefits.


* Identify current and future customer equipment requirements.


* Establish personal rapport with customers, principals, and outside sales staff.


* Submit purchase orders with equipment manufacturers which includes providing technical & commercial information.


* Expedite orders and maintain contact with customers and suppliers.


* Follow up on orders to assure critical deliveries.


* Resolve any order problems related to delivery or paperwork issues directly with customer and suppliers.


* Handle all inquiries/contacts in a professional manner.


* Work in concert with our outside sales team; funnel leads/opportunities to the sales team.


* Resolve product issues or determine product needs over the phone or via e-mail.


* Contribute to team effort by supporting related projects periodically, such as Marketing Campaigns, CRM improvements or Website maintenance.
