As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for general ledger functions and account reconciliations.

What you'll do on a typical day:


* Complete monthly general ledger close responsibilities including recording journal entries and account reconciliations.


* Ensure balances and support are reasonable and all reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner.


* Variance and trend analysis for selected cost centers.


* Sales Order Invoice review and reconciliations for complex clients.


* Prepare schedules and documentation required for audit requests.


* Ad hoc projects as needed.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, equivalent related work or military experience.


* 2 years of accounting or financial reporting experience.


* Proficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills.

It'd be great if you also have:


* Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.


* CPA certification.


* 3 or more years of accounting or financial reporting experience, preferably in public accounting.


* Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).


* Experience in general ledger account reconciliation including the ability to analyze accounts and trace transactions to source documents.
