Operator 3 - Shipping Technician
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Assume all responsibilities for properly receiving materials into WIP & Inventory, updating WIP/Inventory software entries accurately, disbursing material to appropriate process step, preparing finished goods for shipping, and conducting the shipping process.
This first shift position requires speed, patience, and strong attention to detail.
In addition, meticulous with product labeling and packaging requirements, as well as executes a high level of thoroughness, accuracy and timeliness with WIP/Inventory & Shipping transactions.
Ability to work independently and utilize effective time management to meet customer delivery deadlines, as well as communicate at a high level to Customer Service Representatives, Manufacturing Planners, Production Managers and Manufacturing technicians.
Responsible for maintaining our company standard for product quality and customer service by ensuring each order is received by the customer, as entirely requested.
Education & Experience
* 4-6 years manufacturing experience and/or advanced education or equivalent plus 3-5 years of ....
experience.
* Microsoft Excel experience is a must.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and process procedures.
* Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures closely while offering suggestions for continuous improvement
* Experience with networked PC based computer system.
Skills
Check ship calendar throughout the day/shift for new shipments and shipment updates
Gather parts for shipments, and verify inventory quantities before and after shipments
Check accuracy on part labels, verify the customer part numbers and company logos are up to date
Check quality on parts - ensure assembled parts are complete, chip parts are clean and in correct position in waffle packs, and coupon parts have correct ink-marking
Troubleshoot errors in WIP and Traceability
Communicate with planner and supervisor throughout the day/shift about shipments and new shipment priorities
Work with supervisor to prioritize ship dates based on lead times and available inventory
Manage workflow from the wafer scanning process to coring or dicing, painting, ink-marking, beveling, assembly, epoxy and packout ensure expedited shipments are prioritized correctly
