Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Program Director of CCSS provides Community Psychiatric Supports & Treatment Services (CPST) consisting of therapeutic interventions and functional supports to children and families who are eligible for the services.

* Pay Rate: $41.56 per billable hour

Essential Functions

1.

Provide intensive counseling interventions designed to assist the individual to gain skills and restore functioning.
2.

Provide crisis avoidance counseling to prevent crisis and/or reduce the intensity and duration of crisis episodes.
3.

Provide follow-up counseling after a crisis episode.
4.

Provide rehabilitative psychoeducation.
5.

Assist youth and family with strengths-based service planning.
6.

Provide rehabilitative supports to minimize the effects of behavioral health symptoms.
7.

Completes all required documentation, in timelines in accordance with program standards.

Qualifications

Practitioners with a master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or a related human services field may provide all aspects of CPST, including counseling.  Other aspects of CPST, except for counseling, may otherwise be performed by individuals with at least a bachelor’s degree and appropriate experience as specified by DOH regulations.
