General Manager Morocco & Mauritania

Objectives and Key Responsibilities

• Full P/L responsibility for business growth across a portfolio of 6 Business Lines between 100-500M Euros.
• Align and implement the Global go-to-market and products strategy across Business Lines
• Lead the transformation and simplification of the operations of the business
• Lead relationships with CEOs and other senior external figures, including regulatory bodies
• Continue transforming the business as it shifts from a product to a solutions oriented business
• Identify and execute M&A opportunities
• Develop and implement the people strategy for the country, in partnership with the Global support functions
• Lead and manage local operational, compliance, health and safety and other requirements
• Leverage central infrastructure to drive growth

Has an external focus, including working at the c-suite level with governments and customers
• Drives a transformation agenda, both in terms of integrating new businesses, shifting the culture and also driving efficiency of the back office
• Current gaps include business acumen, capacity to transform the business/change management, managing priorities, and skills to operate at the c-suite level
• Potential barriers for growth are mainly in priorities management, managing conflict, cross-selling and ensuring a healthy talent pipeline
• Identifying and taking calculated risks to drive innovation
• Leading and growing both product and solution based businesses
• Driving results in a matrixed environment

Experience Requirements

• Solid industry knowledge and experience
• Wide range of leadership experience including strategic planning, experience in 2-3 business functions, M&A activities, and driving transformational change
• Responsibility for all aspects of P&L, of his/her country
• Good level of understanding of Schneider Electric's strategy, technologies and go-to-markets.
