CdTe Ingot Production Technician

Job Summary: As a member of the CdTe team the CdTe tech will be expected to learn and perform various task for CdTe production including: CdTe Ingot Growth- Material handling and Furnace operation CdTe orientation and fabrication Quartz Glass welding Data Collection Minor Equipment maintenance Operation of material testing equipment

As a member of the CdTe team the CdTe tech will be expected to learn and perform various task for CdTe production including:


* CdTe Ingot Growth- Material handling and Furnace operation


* CdTe orientation and fabrication


* Quartz Glass welding


* Data Collection


* Minor Equipment maintenance


* Operation of material testing equipment

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


* Maintain production plan per schedule


* Maintain manufacturing processes per procedures by audits and observations.


* Provide feedback to process engineering and maintenance that relates to manufacturing


* Teamwork: develop a cohesive work group with cooperation and coordination among peer work groups.


* Support process and material growth improvements as required


* Housekeeping of the work area.


* Actively support Coherent Corp health and safety programs

Education & Experience


* High school or equivalent


* Trade school graduate or equivalent


* >2 years of manufacturing experience

Skills & Other Requirements


* Verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, results orientated, multi-tasking, data recording and entry.


* Good dexterity

Working Conditions


* Work with hands in a production environment.


* Work with Acids, Gases, Solvents, and IR materials


* Clean Room environment

Physical Requirements


* Standing max 8hrs/day


* Lifting 50lbs


* Pushing/Pulling 50lbs


* Sitting max 8hrs/day


* Dexterity for working hands on both material and equipment
