Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team in the utilities industry.

As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles, including trucks, vans, and specialized utility equipment.

This is a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet, as well as the continuity of essential services provided to our customers.

Key Accountabilities: 


* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements, to keep vehicles in optimal condition.


* Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs, such as brake replacements, engine overhauls, and transmission repairs.


* Conduct comprehensive inspections of fleet vehicles to identify potential problems and safety hazards.


* Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent on each job.


* Collaborate with fleet managers and other team members to schedule maintenance and prioritize repairs.


* Continuously update knowledge of industry advancements and technological developments in order to effectively repair and maintain modern vehicle systems.


* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:.


* High school diploma or equivalent


* Vermeer experience required


* ASE certification preferred.


* Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance or a similar role


* Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills


* Proficient in using diagnostic tools, such as scanners and computer software, to identify and resolve issues.


* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.


* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.


* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


* Basic computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance software


* Valid driver's license and clean driving record
