 About the Role:

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is seeking a customer-service oriented Onboarding Specialist, reporting to the Sr Manager Talent Acquisition within our People & Culture department.

The Onboarding Specialist is a role that serves as the primary contact of welcome for all new hires of the Dallas Fed.

This role carries the important responsibility of ensuring our new hires are well-prepared, readied by way of completing all related and required screenings, and are excited to join our team.

You Will:


* Guide candidates from offer accept status through first day / week with Bank, providing the finest customer service and an outstanding onboarding experience for new hires.


* Support Talent Acquisition and People & Culture stakeholders by managing all related start-date readiness processes including the tracking and monitoring of background checks, drug screens and all other checks associated with the onboarding process.


* Ensure compliance with policies and procedures regarding results of all background processes and requirements.


* Coordinate escalations on adjudication when applicable and in a timely fashion.


* Audit and support reviews of related processes – operating procedures, controls, record retention, and vendor follow-up/monitoring.


* Produce new hire packets and execute Day 1 orientation.


* Manage all new hire inquiries regarding employment verifications and ensure these verifications are in compliance with US law.


* Serve as primary contact for new hires, recruiters, background check processor, and hiring managers during pre-employment and first day onboarding.

Some examples of contact points below.
+ Schedule/coordinate pre-employment appointments for fingerprinting
+ Prepare path to start date by scheduling badge appointments, I-9’s, Hiring Manager/Team Welcome Prep, collect documentation needed from new hire for processing, IT and InfoSec meeting scheduling, parking decal information, and arrange meetings and tours for first day


* Partner with IT (co-leading weekly touchpoint) to ensure all equipment needed for new hire on first day is ready and available for use.


* Serve as representative / subject matter expert on relevant Federal Reserve System workgroups.
