Architectural Engineering Analyst

Description & Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and mission-oriented Architectural Engineering Analyst to support our customer with congressionally mandated security consultation for diplomatic construction projects.

In this position, you will have a significant impact on providing protection for national security activities and the safety of personnel working in the facilities.

Providing services in research and reviewing the design, development, construction, alteration or repair of diplomatic buildings and/or structures to ensure appropriate security of the construction project.

Duties include:



* Review project plans, construction Security Plans, architectural drawings, and technical data to determine compliance with relevant Department of State (DoS) and Intelligence Community (IC) standards.


* Provide advice and guidance to federal leadership on recommended changes.


* Collaborating with project stakeholders on proposed solutions and design remediations.


* Assist project stakeholders with the preparation of Congressional certification or internal confirmation packages.


* Review and report on construction Security Plans for compliance with all relevant DOS and IC standards


* Provide consulting advice and written recommendations regarding proposed changes to policies and standards


* Providing support to the Congressional security certification process for US diplomatic facilities

Required Experience:



* TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph


* BS degree and 7+ years (or Masters with 4+ years) of prior relevant work experience in the following:


* Experience reviewing project plans, Construction Security Plans, architectural drawings, and/or technical data to determine compliance with applicable laws and regulations.


* In-depth understanding of architectural and security technical principles, theories, concepts and their application across range of programs.


* Experience with modern building management systems and power distribution systems


* Capability with resolving highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation.


* Develop solutions that are highly innovative, and achieved through research and integration of best practices.


* Ability to communicate with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project.


* Work collaboratively across multiple U.S.

Government IC agencies and Department of State to successfully advocate practices, new concepts, and approaches.


* Read and interpret blueprints and design documents for large, complex facilities
