Intertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) and leading provider of quality and safety solutions to many of the world's leading brands and companies, is searching for a Calibration Technician - RF Experience to join our Electricalteam in our Plano, Texas office.

Intertek's Electrical team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification for a variety of electric products, including appliances, consumer electronics, lighting, medical devices, information communications technology, HVACR, industrial, and energy transmission and distribution.

What are we looking for?

The Calibration Technician position, using approved Standard Operating Procedures and/or Manufacturer's Manuals will calibrate, troubleshoot and/or repair Length, Mass, Volumetric, Time, Pressure, Thermodynamic and loop-based Assets that support Manufacturing and Laboratory Processes while maintaining conformance to GMP and international measurement standards.

What you'll do:


* Perform calibration, diagnostic and preventative maintenance on instrumentation and/or equipment with little to no supervision.


* Able to conduct calibration work at customer on-sites with little to no direction.


* Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques.


* Coordinate the repair of instrumentation and calibration of equipment with 3rd Party Vendors.


* Ensure timely turn-around time on all instrumentation and equipment calibration services.


* Conduct equipment review following the return of calibrated equipment.


* Maintain accurate calibration records and standards.


* Ensure that preventative maintenance of equipment is performed in a timely and effective manner.


* Maintain and review Calibration Certificates.


* Perform or assist in performing suspect equipment investigations.


* May assist with writing and/or updating procedures to ensure efficiency, standardization, and accuracy.


* Understand and apply uncertainties to measurements made.


* Typical 40-hour work week with occasional need for extended hours and weekend work.


* Be able to read and interpret labs' scopes of accreditation.
