Material Handler III (Forklift Operator)

Based in Olive Branch, MS, you will be responsible for transporting products safely as required within the warehouse by means of motorized equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach lifts etc.

Shift position will most likely be Mon-Fri 2nd shift 2:00 pm-10:30pm

 In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:



* Responsible for moving product within the warehouse by means of motorized equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach lifts etc.


* Responsible to stock incoming items, to replenish flow racks, and pick orders with use of RF equipment


* Create cartons and labels prior to shipping


* Ability to break down incoming products per packing list


* Maintain productivity minimum standard


* Adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures


* Work overtime as required


* Load and/or unload trucks. 


* Put away incoming freight.   


* Replenish orders as necessary to support operation.  


* Supply cardboard boxes and bags for departments.


* Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment.  


* Maintain safe actions on and off the equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson, federal, state and local provisions.  


* Meet department quality, attendance and productivity requirements. 


* Other duties as assigned.

For This Role, You Will Need:


* High school diploma or equivalent 


* A minimum of 6 months of related experience 


* Equivalent  distribution center experience


* Requires prior forklift certification with 6 months previous warehouse experience


* Previous shipping/material handling experience


* Experience with RF equipment to move product


* Ability to stand, squat, bend, lift, push and pull for shift all product/carton weighing up to 50 lbs.


* Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.


* Good communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a team environment.


* Follow directions and see the task through safely.


* Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
