Temporary Administrative Services Analyst I

ABOUT THE POSITION

The County of Riverside's Temporary Assignment Program seeks a Temporary Administrative Services Analyst I.

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of administrative services of moderate difficulty; conducts standardized research studies and collects and provides technical data involving budgetary and/or operational process and/or performs contract monitoring; recommends policies, procedures, systems and methods for the improvement of departmental services, operations or programs; performs other related duties as required.

Desired candidates exhibit effective written and verbal communication skills, are adept at conducting standardized research studies, and are proficient in collecting and providing technical data related to budgetary and/or operational processes.

In addition, desired candidates will have a strong background in Human Resources, including a working knowledge of FMLA/CFRA/PDL protocols, processing HR forms and documents, and assisting staff with HR related questions.

Meet the Team! The Riverside County Treasurer-Tax Collector is responsible for the billing and collection of property taxes, and, for the receiving, processing, investing and most importantly, safeguarding of public funds, as mandated by the laws of the state of California.

The combined office is led by Matthew Jennings , a countywide, publicly elected official serving the fourth largest county in California by landmass and by population.

Established May 9, 1893, Riverside County encompasses 7,303 square miles, 28 cities and a population of nearly 2.3 million.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES (MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
(Depending on the area of assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following)

• Conduct studies of operational, service and programmatic activities including workflow, organizational structure, operating procedures, space utilization, facilities management, equipment usage, and staffing patterns; develop reports and recommendations for appropriate action based on the analysis of collected data.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and performs cost/benefit analysis of specific programs; review financial data on an on-going basis to ensure conformance with established guidelines.

• Monitor adherence to contract terms.

• Develop written procedures to clarify or describe standard practices; design or improve forms to expedite procedures; coordinate the publication and dissemination of procedures; review present and pending legislation to determine effect on departmental operations and programs.

• May assist in the preparation of grant applications; participate in various meetings and present and/or gathers data to assist management in making administrative and operational decisions; prepare a variety of records, reports, and correspondence.
