Responsibilities

As an Investigator (Consumer Outreach), you will:


* Serve as a subject matter expert regarding identifying and contacting consumers, former employees of companies under investigation, and other potential witnesses who may have information relevant to investigations and litigations conducted by Enforcement.

These duties include developing new or revised methods of conducting outreach to consumers and other potential third-party witnesses.


* Engage in outreach to consumers and other potential witnesses and conducts interviews of such individuals to obtain information relevant to investigations and enforcement actions, including information relevant to determining whether a violation of Federal consumer financial law has occurred and the nature and extent of such violations.

Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed records of outreach efforts and notes of witness interviews.


* Collect, compile, and analyze documents or other tangible evidence obtained from consumers and other potential witnesses and preserves their chain of custody.

Analyze a wide variety of documents obtained from potential witnesses to determine whether they contain evidence that may support or contradict claims for violations of Federal consumer financial law.


* Travel Required

Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
