As the Sr.

Technical Manager, Search, you will lead a team of engineers in developing, enhancing, and maintaining our search infrastructure and algorithms.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring our search capabilities are robust, scalable, and deliver exceptional user experiences.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.

Major Responsibilities:


* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers with varying levels of experience.


* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching.


* Define and execute the technical strategy for search infrastructure and algorithms.


* Drive the design, development, and optimization of search-related features and capabilities.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate search functionalities seamlessly.


* Oversee project planning, prioritization, and execution to meet business objectives and timelines.


* Responsible for project planning including scheduling and budgeting.


* Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions.


* Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in search technologies and methodologies.


* Identify opportunities for innovation and improvements in search relevancy, speed, and accuracy.


* Work closely with product managers, Development teams, and other key stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements.


* Communicate effectively with executive leadership on project status, technical challenges, and strategic direction.

Qualifications:


* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering discipline.


* 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on search technologies.


* 5+ years of previous project management experience required including management experience of senior developers and architects.


* Experience with large-scale search systems and distributed computing.


* Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JSON and Python
