Field Service Technician - Valves & Actuators

Here's a breakdown of the key responsibilities and requirements:

Responsibilities:
1.

Warehouse Operations Coordination: Overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including assembling valve assemblies, processing customer orders, and ensuring proper cycle testing and documentation.
2.

Safety Compliance: Adhering to Bray safety policies in material receiving, supply coordination, and warehouse movement.
3.

Inventory Control: Conducting inventory control activities, such as maintaining physical item counts and cycle counts.
4.

Field Service: Performing field service tasks at customer facilities, including installing, calibrating, and repairing actuators and valves.
5.

Sales Support: Representing Bray in a sales capacity while at customer facilities, encouraging the purchase of Bray products.

Minimum Requirements:
1.

Mechanical Aptitude: Knowledge of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and basic understanding of electricity and wiring.
2.

Language and Communication: Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and following instructions.
3.

Equipment Operation: Competency in operating a forklift, hand pallet lift, hand truck, and basic computer skills.
4.

Self-Motivation and Organization: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize workload, manage time effectively, and collaborate within a team environment.
5.

Customer Interaction: Providing technical assistance to internal and external customers regarding Bray products.
6.

Travel: Availability for up to 10% travel for field evaluation and repair, along with writing comprehensive service call reports.
7.

Product Testing and Evaluation: Performing product testing, troubleshooting, and processing returns and evaluations of valves and actuators.

Overall, the role demands a versatile individual who can manage warehouse operations efficiently, handle technical field service tasks competently, and effectively engage with customers to support sales efforts.
