Nemours is seeking a Medical Technologist, Full-Time, to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, Delaware.

Work Schedule: Full time dayshift position with weekend rotations

Medical Technologist for Clinical Laboratory; must have BSMT or equivalent, and be able to provide high quality results with attention to detail and offer excellent customer service to families and colleagues.

Demonstrates professional, friendly, courteous, interpersonal skill in interactions with hospital staff, supervisory staff, co-workers, customers, and patients/family members.

The provision of laboratory services by the performance of clinical laboratory procedures and related tasks.


* Performance of analytical procedures following Blood Bank Laboratory protocols.

Supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance, reporting results of procedures with documented training.

In this function, must be able to perform all required calibration, quality control, statistical calculations and other process control and mathematical functions.

Associate must also be able to understand Blood Bank concepts.


* Assigned laboratory responsibilities to manage monthly with follow up to the Supervisor.


* Participates as a member on inspection teams, for example, as part of the College of American Pathologists, AABB and/ or FDA.

Orders, accessions, statuses and reports results of tests performed on patient specimens, monitoring a variety of critical clinical issues, such as patient identifiers, specimen quality, order appropriateness, etc.

In this function, must be able to read and understand a variety of written material such as specimen requisitions, worksheets, patient identification, specimen requirements, etc., whether performing this task manually (e.g., on paper) or through the use of an information system.
