H2Se Systems Operator

Performs the operation and maintenance of Hydrogen Selenide (H2Se) production equipment in order to produce H2Se for the purpose of supplying the CVD operations.

Perform operation of H2Se-related production equipment.

Assists and supports MPZ management and engineering, as required, in order to sustain efficient operations.

Provide general non-process support to all areas of MPZ.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


* Responsible for the production of H2Se and the maintaining of H2Se equipment.


* Potential to lead and manage shifts on an as needed basis.


* Complete the 18 to 24 month training program.

Education & Experience


* Minimum 1 to 3 year in a mechanical oriented trade is preferred but not necessary.


* High School graduate or equivalent.

Working Conditions


* Multiple-shift rotation at present requires 5/24 coverage; Transition from 5/24 to 7/24 will occur as business-unit needs dictate.


* H2Se Production involves the production, handling, and storage of toxic materials which require a specific attention to detail.


* Exposure to dust, fumes, heat, noise, and cold occur regularly.

Physical Requirements


* Must be able to work all shifts, weekend, and holidays, as production schedule demands as per assigned shift type.

Must arrange overlap with other shifts to achieve effective shift exchange information.


* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.


* Must demonstrate a high degree of accountability and the ability to take independent actions.


* Must be able to operate with little or no supervision.


* Must be able to work mandatory overtime when required.


* Must be able to react appropriately in emergency situations.


* Must be able to wear the necessary equipment to perform the necessary job duties.


* Must be \"Clean Shaven\" when coming on duty per established Coherent Corp.

policy.


* Must be able to perform \"specific assigned duties\" as required.


* Must have a high concentration level with attention to detail for routine operations.

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corporate EHS standards.

Job requirements includes being a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and attend all necessary safety training.

Other training includes but is not limited SCBA, CPR, First Aid and First Responder training as assigned by management.

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
