FWS Sports Medicine Student Assistant

Job Description

It is imperative the details below be included in the job description to meet Federal Work Study (FWS) compliance standards.

Each FWS position should have a job description that includes the:



* Name of position (Job Title) FWS Sports Medicine Student Assistant


* Classification of the position (e.g., reading tutor 1, reading tutor 2, laboratory assistant, library technician 1 or 2, etc.); Student Assistant 1


* Name and address of the student’s employer (the school, public agency, nonprofit organization, etc.); Stevens Institute of Technology, 1 castle point terrace hoboken nj 07030


* Department or office in which the student will be employed; Athletics and recreation


* Location where the student will perform his/her duties; Schaefer Athletic Center


* Name of the student’s supervisor; Allison McDavitt


* Purpose or role of the position within the organization; Assist sports medicine office with various administrative tasks.,


* Duties and responsibilities associated with the position and how they relate to the purpose or role; cleaning duties of office, equipment and supplies, help organize, scan, restock and file paperwork/documents in sports med office.

Restock and keep up to date inventory,


* Rates of pay for the position (cross-referenced to the wage rates appearing in the school’s policies and procedures manual); hourly/ minimum wage/ $15.13


* General qualifications for the position and the specific qualifications for the various levels or rates of pay associated with the position; hard worker, willing to learn, organized, passionate about working within athletics


* The length of the student’s employment (beginning and ending dates); August 2024-May 31st 2025


* Procedures for determining a student’s rate of pay when a position has multiple rates; hourly minimum wage
