Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in delivering comprehensive nursing care, health maintenance, and patient education.
This role demands both direct and indirect patient care responsibilities, with a focus on optimizing patient functioning and comfort.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of departmental needs and long-term growth goals, show initiative, and possess critical thinking and leadership skills.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening rotations.
Position Highlights:
* Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for all new full-time RNs
* Schedule: Full-time, with standard hours and evening and holiday rotations
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Assess a patient through obtaining patient history and performing appropriate tests and observations.
* Communicate with the patient’s provider and educate the patient on test results, new care plans and/or other relevant health care information including the use of newly prescribed medications and/or changes in the current medication regime.
* Demonstrates sound clinical judgment/decision making when triaging sick patients, both on the phone and in the waiting room.
* Safely and effectively administers medications, tests and treatments as ordered.
* Teaches patients and families health care regimens.
Explains and provides information regarding disease and wellness, tests, results, medications, diet, exercise, and other aspects of the plan of care to patients.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
* Completion of Accredited Nursing Program.
* Licensure in Massachusetts as an RN.
* BCLS certification per department policy.
* 1-year relevant nursing experience in a community health and/or ambulatory care setting preferred.
