Procurement Project Director/Supervisor

Are you looking for an opportunity to use your procurement experience and leadership skills to contribute to a mission-driven organization? As a Procurement Project Director/Supervisor, you’ll have responsibility for intake and compliance of applicable procurement policies and procedures, performing sourcing events, and serving as a procurement liaison to business lines.

Responsibilities:

Develop, motivate, and evaluate performance of direct reports which includes supervising to identify developmental assignments and training opportunities, working with team members on career goals, delegating responsibilities, providing timely feedback and evaluating performance on any of the preceding duties.

Oversee all aspects of sourcing events including large-scale highly complex projects; frequently interact with outside vendors and internal partners to ensure timely completion of sourcing projects.

Direct, in varying capacities, the efforts of procurement intake and compliance activities related to sourcing events.

Work with senior staff to identify, evaluate, recommend, develop, test, train new policies, procedures, automation systems which may lead implementation of solutions or continuous improvements.

Plan and prioritize objectives, initiatives, and resources; monitor procurement compliance which includes analytical tools; make recommendations and decisions regarding policies, standards, systems, and equipment, etc.; prepare reports, proposals, position papers, strategic plans, and other documentation for senior management review in support of proposed solutions and recommendations.

Analyze and evaluate business needs; assess associated risks, expected benefits, and recommend technical, procedural, and/or policy solutions.

Lead Bank and System task forces and work groups and assume leadership role in special projects and programs of significant business impact.

Manage communications, facilitate meetings and conference calls, and coordinate work activities.

Maintain a high level of knowledge of procurement requirements and regularly engage with National Procurement Office to ensure alignment with best practices.

Stay abreast of technical, operational, and/or policy issues relating to the industry and provide a high-level of application and/or operational expertise.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Master's degree preferred; Project management certification strongly preferred.

8 years of extensive, broad-based procurement experience including sourcing, contract negotiation, project management, and vendor relationship management.

Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.

Experience training, coaching, and mentoring less experienced staff.
