Civil/Structural Designer - Primoris Engineering

Primoris Engineering is seeking a mid-level Civil/Structural Designer to join the office in Houston, TX.

Successful candidates will have experience with the latest civil and structural Autodesk design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D and CADWorx Structure Hexagon PPM.

Candidate should be familiar with 2D/3D CAD fundamentals and be willing to take ownership of their work.

This is an in-office position located in our engineering office in Houston.

Duties and Responsibilities:


* Create Grading models and plans using Civil 3D software.


* Run cut and fill analysis as well as be able to put together materials list based on site specific soil conditions.


* Create platform, supports and structures using CADWorx Structure.


* Work closely with engineering team and coordinate with other disciplines through duration of projects.


* Be familiar with OSHA regulations and PIP Standards.


* Work with external vendors to ensure all drawings align with equipment and technical documentation.


* Maintain records of revisions and markups through scope of project.

Required Qualifications:


* Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD Design.


* Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3d and CADWorx Structure.


* Proficient in 3D modeling using a variety of Autocad applications.


* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

* Works well in team environment with good communication skills both verbal and written.
