Environmental Services Supervisor

Work Schedule :

100% FTE, night shift, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 11:00PM - 7:30AM, with rotating on-call weekends.

You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to:



* Help make an impact on patient care by leading our remarkable Environmental Services team as they play a critical role in preventing infection.


* Plan, direct and assign the work to be completed by the environmental services technicians, seniors and environmental services floor care technicians.


* Document completion of work through daily productivity reports.


* Complete inspections, rounding, documentation and regular meetings with other departments to ensure quality of work.

Education :

Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred - Bachelor's Degree.

Work Experience :

Minimum - Two (2) years previous supervisory or lead role experience in a large organization.

Preferred - Five (5) years previous supervisory experience at an acute health care facility.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Hazardous waste awareness certificate - must obtain within first year of hire.

If required to driving a company vehicle, the following requirements apply:


* Must be 21 years of age to drive a UW Health Fleet vehicle and must be 25 years of age to drive a UW Health vehicle rates for 15 or more passengers.


* Ability to be insured by Hospital's risk management insurer which requires (1) a valid Wisconsin Driver's License and (2) successfully passing a driving background check.
