Program Assistant for the Art Harper Saturday Academy

Job Description

Position Overview: 

The Program Assistant for the Art Harper Saturday Academy will assist the Director with the implementation, marketing, organization, staffing and overall programming of the Academy during the 2024-2025 Academic Year.  

Responsibilities and Duties: 


* Provide direct support to the Director of High School Enrichment  



* Collaborate with the social media intern to manage the Academy’s social media platforms 



* Design marketing outreach campaigns 



* Supervise and collaborate with the student tutor team to help prepare and execute successful professional development, college prep sessions, and extracurricular events for program participants 



* Provide general support to all teaching staff as requested 



* Liaise with participants’ parents/guardians, sponsors/donors, and community partners 



* Assist in the development and growth of departmental initiatives and responsibilities  

Qualifications:  


* Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, STEM related major, or a related field required 



* Preference given to candidates with teaching/tutoring experience with middle or high school students 



* Strong written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills preferred 



* Proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations  



* Available to work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and specifically available for 10 Saturdays during the academic year  



* Youth Programming, Student Affairs and/or Student Leadership experience a plus
