Research Administration Business Analyst (RABA)

Reporting to the Director, Electronic Research Administration (DERA), the Research Administration Business Analyst (RABA) will play a key role in taking the access and use of systems & data to a new level at Stevens to enable sound decision making to help elevate the Stevens research enterprise.

Data managed and insights enabled by the RABA will inform the DERA and VP for Research and Innovation in developing approaches for deploying resources to meet the strategic research needs of the campus.

Work will be done in partnership with Information Technology (IT) staff to take the availability and interpretation of research systems & data to a level appropriate for a leading research university.

Responsibilities include:

(1) assessing the existing business processes, performing gap analyses, and focusing on business process improvement while implementing the new InfoEd eRA system from present-day Coeus research administration software;

(2) eliciting requirements, preparing functional business requirement documentation, and configuring the system to meet the requirements,

(3) creating technical documentation, testing plans, and perform testing of the functions, integrations, and reports generated by the system. 

Requirements include bachelors of engineering or science degrees or equivalent.

A masters degree and 3-5 years experience in research administration are preferred.
