KPF/SR CATEGORY MGR GIFT CARD SERVICES

Drive the strategic direction for merchandising and expense management of 3rd Party and Banner Gift Cards.

Develop and implement programs that support the Customer 1st and Associate 1st Strategy, maintain best in class standards, foster vendor relationships and coach and develop teams to achieve and execute all goals and company strategies.

* 3+ years of merchandising and/or operations experience


* 2+ years' experience effectively leading a team


* Demonstrated oral and written communication skills


* Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization


* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


* Strong negotiation skills


* Proven ability to lead multiple projects


* Understanding of basic business, accounting and math principles


* Proficient in Microsoft Office

* Bachelor's degree



* Develop and promote 3rd Party merchandising and marketing strategies to establish and maintain a best in class status in the market


* Foster long-term strategic relationships with business partners (program card partners, Blackhawk marketing team) to provide quality products/services to drive market share; negotiate favorable programs and costs


* Employ strategies to maximize Kroger Banner Gift Card sales; understand and react to the competitive landscape


* Develop E-commerce strategies to enhance and grow the business to consumer channel


* Drive the expansion of the business to business gift channel and establish best in class standards of customer experience


* Maintain a high level of knowledge of market trends and industry insights to best position the gift card program for future growth; maintain knowledge of regulatory compliance and current government regulations


* Explore, identify and develop new products and business opportunities


* Partner with divisions to drive awareness of 3rd party and banner products and deliver a high degree of in-store execution


* Drive communication/execution through tools and marketing vehicles that drive category initiatives, in collaboration with marketing


* Collaborate with management to create budgets and key performance targets


* Ensure marketing budget aligns to the overall strategy of the business, generates appropriate return, and maintains sales and profits requirements


* Deliver the sales and profit targets established for 3rd Party and Banner Products


* Review, measure, and report key product/category vendor metrics on a regular basis


* Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
