ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are searching for an Area Sales Manager to drive sales with customers across northern England for Greif’s plastic products.

You will need to travel (60 to 70%) but can base yourself from a home office in between travel.

ROLE DETAILS:

Reporting to Greif’s National Sales Director, we are looking for someone with B2B sales experience and an understanding of industries relating to chemicals.

Our role would suit someone with a technical approach and an expertise or interest in the selling of innovative products in the market.

TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:


* Identify new business opportunities and develop your market in close cooperation with the Sales Director.


* Communicate with existing customers and manage accounts to ensure satisfaction.

Maintain existing business by developing and presenting compelling value propositions.


* Partner with colleagues in Production, Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, and Logistics to provide the best possible customer service.


* Create detailed price quotes and deliver presentations to internal and external customers, along with samples and prototypes.


* Understand customer needs, establish privileged relationships, and actively influence their innovation and purchasing decisions.

Offer technical support and identify solutions for our customers.


* Build and display deep knowledge of the core and new product portfolio, related solutions, market trends, and competition.

REQUIREMENTS:


* Able to demonstrate significant sales experience within markets relating to chemicals, plastics, steel, polymers or similar.


* Able to demonstrate high energy towards new business and developing sales.


* An effective communicator who is able to influence others.


* Able to demonstrate agility in adapting to business changes.
