Housekeeping Supervisor - InterContinental Residences Abu Dhabi

We’re looking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor who will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will manage the housekeeping staff, coordinate with other departments, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:


* Supervise and lead housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry personnel, and public area cleaners.


* Schedule staff shifts and assign daily tasks to ensure efficient operation.


* Conduct training for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff.


* Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews.


* Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with hotel standards.


* Address and resolve any issues or deficiencies identified during inspections.


* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.


* Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.


* Order and replenish supplies as needed, maintaining cost control measures.


* Ensure proper storage and handling of all cleaning supplies and equipment.


* Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.


* Coordinate with the front desk and other departments to meet guest needs.


* Ensure guest rooms are prepared and available for check-in according to hotel standards.


* Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including cleaning schedules, inventory, and staff performance.


* Prepare reports on housekeeping operations and submit them to management.


* Assist in budget preparation and cost management for the housekeeping department.


* Identify opportunities for improving housekeeping processes and procedures.


* Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality.


* Stay updated on industry trends and new cleaning technologies.

What We need from you:


* High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.


* Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.


* Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and equipment.


* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


* Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.


* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.


* Proficiency in using housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.


* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
