Lead Cardiac Sonographer

FTE 100%, 90%, 80%, 32-40 hours per week (Full and Part-Time option).

Monday - Friday with variable start times.

Rotational on-call and Saturday and Sunday day shift coverage.

You will work at a variety of locations.

Rotate to imaging sites in lead role to support education and training of team as needed.

We are seeking a Lead Cardiac Sonographer to:


* Motivate, lead others and share knowledge to provide advanced training to current Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers and new staff members.


* Collaborate between programs to cultivate a dynamic and high functioning team that focuses on providing an optimal cardiovascular imaging experience.


* Assume a daily leadership role and demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill in all applicable clinical settings.


* Suggest changes in procedures, policies, and quality improvement, as well as coordinate training and development of the Imaging Specialists and keep them advised of technological changes.


* Collaborate with clinicians, care team leaders, staff nurses, other disciplines and patients/families to develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care and a positive experience to all patients, families and visitors.


* Support in the development and coordination of new programs and cutting-edge technology and procedures utilizing ultrasound imaging .


* The team supports a robust structural heart program .

The procedures include transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements, Watchman and MitraClip implantation and alcohol septal ablation procedures.


* Lead in a Cardiovascular Imaging Lab that is accredited by the IAC - in both Echo and Vascular Imaging at a variety of locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility and several clinics in the Madison area.
