About the Role:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Casthouse Manager is responsible for driving the transformation process to make molten metal shippable to final customers.

The scope of this process starts at moment that Potlines delivery the crucibles with molten metal and goes until it’s shipped to customers.

The main goals are safety, quality and build systems to prevent deviations on the production process.

It’s included the connection with commercial area and customer relationship related to the product.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to streamline operations and maintain high-quality standards.


* Support, promote, and enforce all Environment-Health-Safety guidelines and practices.

Be a health and safety leader, using Human Performance tools, and promote environmental values of the plant.

Ensure that all employees are performing work according to the correct quality and safety procedures.


* Deliver and drive improvement on key performance metrics such as EBITDA, FCF, working capital, on time delivery, revenue, and cost at Warrick’s Casthouse.


* Maintain and develop positive employee relations and communications Develop a compelling strategy for the Casthouse and outline a business program to achieve results on an annual basis.


* Oversee the production schedule to minimize scrap generation, dormant inventory, and sale of scrap while, in turn maximizing its consumption.


* Be a contributing member of the site lead team.

Manage, direct, mentor, lead, train and empower teams to achieve goals and objectives in a timely and safe manner, while continuously aiming to improve effectiveness.


* Manage the operations of the Casthouse to produce cast products that meet customer specifications.

Drive improvements in Casthouse profitability through increased value-added product production.


* Apply a continuous improvement mentality in the day to day, month to month, year to year plan by aggressively listening for new ideas, looking for new technologies and approaches for cast house cost reduction.


* Lead, plan, and implement all capital investments in the cast house Maintain and create a flexible and agile work environment where you can adjust to any economic climate/condition.
