Maintenance Mechanic

ConMet - Canton, NC location is looking to fill a Maintenance Mechanic position to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of injection molding/assembly mechanical equipment and systems.

This is a 12 Hour Night shift Position.

What You Will Do:


* Perform maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of injection molding/assembly mechanical equipment and systems


* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues


* Analyze equipment performance and make necessary adjustments or repairs


* Fabricate and install mechanical components as needed


* Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly


* Perform required preventative maintenance duties according to prepared procedures


* Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and meet deadlines


* Observe and comply with all company rules and regulations including the NFPA 70E Arc Flash PPE and procedures

What You Need to be Successful: 


* Minimum 2 years of college and/or trade school


* Minimum 4 years of related job experience, with emphasis on equipment maintenance and repair


* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components


* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints


* Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and installations


* Familiarity with high-voltage and low-voltage systems


* Experience in field service or industrial electrician roles is a plus


* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail


* Working knowledge of PLC programming and operation


* Good working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics


* Ability to safely utilize a forklift and a high-lift
