Want to be part of a team that really cares and empowers you to help change a customer’s life for the better?  As our Support Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have experienced homelessness and whose support needs may also include substance misuse and mental health.

You will support them to develop their skills to live more independently in the community.  You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations.  Amazing we know!

Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator)


* Creating support plans with your customers and coordinating our small team of Support Workers working to the plans. 


* Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.


* Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.


* Cuppas, chats and catch ups.  There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here!  Plenty of time to collaborate with colleagues too.

You bring


* Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working collaboratively with an eye for detail. 


* Experience of creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues in working to work to the plans.


* Experience of coordinating and assessing customer referrals.


* The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach.


* To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes or be comfortable using public transport.

Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role.  This remains under regular review.

Our team

You’ll join our manager Sherene, and our Basingstoke Social Inclusion Pathway team, who are super passionate about what we do! Sherene is a true example of how we ‘grow our own’, as she’s on her third career with us having been a Housing Management Coordinator as well as a Housing Manager before stepping into her current Manager role.

When not at work she’s chasing after her two wild spaniels! 

Job details


* You will be part of a rota to provide support for customers 7 days a week from 1pm – 9pm.  So if you’re an evening lark and you like to have your mornings to yourself this is the role for you.


* Although you’ll work on the rota, we do get together regularly for training and team meetings.
