Role reports to: Senior Manager EMEA Network Services

Location: Prague

What you will do

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for leading software design, service architecture, and software development/solution engineering.

You will also manage junior engineers, lead design and code reviews within the service, and investigate emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain network security protocols and procedures.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business needs.

• Deliver data network, voice and contact center operations across all businesses within the region.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve network infrastructure.

• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for network equipment and services.

• Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct regular testing to ensure network resilience.

• Experience in all major network technologies such as switching / routing, WAN, WLAN, IPT, Firewalls, load balancers, Cloud exchange/CoLo, cloud-based network services, and SDN.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Lead the technical architecture and solution design of services and solutions.

• Manage and mentor junior engineers in software development and engineering.

• Participate in cross-service design and code reviews with peers.

• Investigate emerging technologies and new engineering techniques to drive continuous improvement of the service.

• Collaborate and integrate with engineering services and platforms.

• Ensure complete delivery of solutions by interacting with cross-functional teams, including Enterprise Architecture.
