MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR

ABOUT THE POSITION

The County of Riverside Facilities Management Department has an opportunity for a Mental Health Facility (MHF) Housekeeping Supervisor supporting the RUHS: Mental Health In-Treatment Facility, a 24/7 operation.

The selected candidate will have proven expertise and knowledge in supervising a team , scheduling assignments, training, evaluating performance, Quality Assurance (QA) review to meet/exceed hospital sanitation standards.

Responsibilities will include evaluating and adjusting assignments based on labor hours available to maximize cost controls, environmental inspection, equipment maintenance, inventory tracking and new product testing and evaluation.

And, ability to utilize MS Office to record data and prepare weekly reports relating to environmental service operations.

Highly competitive candidates will have experience in a cute care hospitals or health care agencies with advanced proficiency with Medical Database tracking system (ex: EPIC software) tracking, monitoring, and responding to requests within a medical facility.

MEET THE TEAM! Riverside County Department of Facilities Management provides property management and operations services for county owned and leased facilities throughout the 7,200 square miles of Riverside County and over 14 million square feet of space.

The department is responsible for keeping county buildings safe, comfortable and productive for both county staff and the public.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assigns and schedules the work of the housekeeping staff for the MHF; implements quality assurance policies and procedures for effectiveness and efficiency, and implements changes as necessary to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations of hospital accrediting bodies.

• Inspects and evaluates the work of housekeeping crews and various contractor staff engaged in support work for the programs.

• Assists in preparing budget estimates and justifications for the housekeeping programs and maintains cost controls; and recommends additional personnel and resources to support existing programs.

• Interviews prospective employees and makes recommendations on hiring; evaluates employee performance; recommends promotions, demotions, disciplinary actions and terminations; provides instruction and training to new employees.

• Performs new product evaluation, ordering, receiving, and accounting of all aseptic equipment, chemicals, and supplies; summits requests for the purchasing of supplies and equipment; and maintains records of supplies used.

• Confers with the Hospital Environmental Services Supervisor, Facilities Management and MHF administrative staff regarding policies of environmental service programs as the relate to MHF policies, implements changes and improvements as needed; recommen...
