Senior Employee Relations Business Partner

The Senior Employee Relations Business Partner provides employee relations guidance and support to our California locations and their employees.

They have a deep understanding of California employment law and workplace policies and are proficient in English and Spanish.

In this role you will handle a variety of employee relations matters, addressing conflicts, advise on policies, and fostering respectful work environment.

This position is a virtual (remote) position, and the candidate must reside within the Pacific Time Zone in the United States

Must be able to travel up to 40% to California field locations- Tulare, CA; Madera, CA, Turlock, CA; Acampo, CA

Key Responsibilities:

Investigations and Compliance


* Conduct thorough investigations, requiring bilingual Spanish language proficiency for effective communication and resolution


* Apply California employment law expertise in managing and resolving employee relations matters effectively


* Partner with labor relations experts when investigating union organized locations


* Collaborate with Legal on complex cases

Provide Consultation and Guidance


* Advise on investigations, performance issues, and ADA reasonable accommodation requests


* Make critical assessment and recommendations


* Liaise between employees and managers consulting on performance coaching


* Knowledge of workers compensation and ADA accommodations process

Improve Employee Experience:


* Serve as a confidential advisor to employees and managers on workplace matters


* Facilitate training on investigations, ADA reasonable accommodations, and performance management


* Conduct case aftercare with employees to ensure issue resolution has been sustained over time

Required Experience and Qualifications:


* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field


* 5+ years of experience in Employee Relations, HR, or related areas


* Proficiency in both Spanish and English for effective communication required


* In-depth knowledge of employment law


* Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues when necessary

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:


* Demonstrated experience as an investigator


* Knowledge of CA employment law


* Proficient in HRIS systems, preferably Workday, and Microsoft Office Suite

* Excellent evaluation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills

Approximate base salary range: 90K-130K
