Job Summary:

Supermicro Computer is currently looking for talented System Engineer to partner with System Product Manager to validate in-house servers and workstation platforms, troubleshoot and detect any problem of current validation project.

The candidate will be responsible to provide technical specifications, build testing configurations to verify systems' stability and reliability.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with both internal engineering and product team on various projects.

The ideal candidate must have solid hands-on experience in enterprise motherboards and its components with strong testing knowledge, able to work effectively in team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Perform motherboard, system, and other server component and hardware validation testing
• Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing
• Identify technical issues and resolve computer hardware and software problems
• Report hardware and software quality assurance issues into bug tracking systems
• Familiar with HPC, data center, networking architecture, system mechanics, etc.
• Familiar with technical knowledge of designing and implementing Server system

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in EE, CE or ME with minimum of 3 years system engineering experiences in server products is strongly desirable
• Strong knowledge in server architecture and OS concept, and knowledge in distributed computing a plus
• Knowledge in benchmarks(FIO/IOMeter/HammerDB), PCIe protocol, and database (SQL/MySQL)
• Experiences in configuring Windows Server, Ubuntu, Redhat Enterprise Linux
• Experiences in scripting languages (PowerShell, Linux Shell) a plus
• Strong knowledge with server hardware and architectures including PCI express, and OOB management
• Experiences in technical writing and good communication skills

Salary Range

$82,000 - $133,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
