Position: Billing Specialist
Pay: $17.50 / hr.
- $20.00 /hr Depending on experience
Billing Specialist is responsible to secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts; resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for review, verification and follow up of hospice consents
Responsible for review and entering Medicare notice of elections in a timely manner.
Audits patients consent for election to hospice and enters notice of election for Medicare (81A)
Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions as needed
Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions form lock box and local deposits as needed
Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
Maintains records by scanning invoices, debits, and credits.
Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers;
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Qualifications
A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Excellent computer skills including billing and financial software.
Must be well organized and detail-oriented.
Must be able to communicate articulately and comprehend written and verbal communications.
Must be able to function efficiently in a stressful work environment.
Must possess general math skills and able to analyze information and report findings.
Overnight travel may be required.
