RN - Ambulatory, Operating Room

100% FTE, day shift with hours between 7:30am - 5:00pm.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse(RN) to:


* Establish goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs with the patient, family and /or other care provider in preparation for surgery.


* Support care for adult patients with identified risk factors preoperatively that require optimization prior to scheduled surgery across all surgical sites within UW Health.


* Work in collaboration with a small multidisciplinary team of advanced practice providers and anesthesiologists in a new pre-anesthesia clinic setting opening in October 2023 on the east side of Madison.

Education :

Minimum - Graduate of school of nursing.

Preferred - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Work Experience :

Minimum - Six (6) months of RN experience.

Preferred - Relevant RN experience.

Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum - Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact.

CPR/BLS Certification.

Preferred - Applicable clinical certification.
