SCOPE OF ROLE

The Chief Behavioral Health Officer (CBHO) serves on the Chief Clinical Officer’s (CCO) leadership team, and is responsible for the direction, administration, coordination and integration of systems, activities and initiatives that drive the achievement of quality outcomes for patients and their families whose lives are affected by mental health and substance use disorders.  The CBHO is strategically astute and experienced at executing innovative strategies to optimize operational efficiencies while developing and nurturing productive partnerships with a broad stakeholder base.

Providing direct oversight of behavioral health program development, the CBHO ensures effective services are administered and provided to Signature Health’s entire patient population with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and superior patient experience.

The CBHO balances strategic and operational demands to achieve clinical, administrative, and financial performance goals, identifying and securing alternate funding streams to support innovative program initiatives when necessary.
