Senior Accountant - Altec Worldwide

Responsibilities

Altec Worldwide (AWW) is hiring an Sr.

Accountant in Birmingham, AL.

This position is responsible for reviewing and processing AP/AR invoices, reviewing expense reports, providing customer/supplier support, and assisting in month-end close procedures/reconciliations.

Responsibilities


* Review and code invoices and expense reports for payment


* Audit expenses/payables to ensure compliance and cost control and report findings as necessary


* Review and finalize Accounts Receivable invoices


* Process warranty claim credits


* Assist with monthly AR and AP close


* Provide customers and suppliers assistance and support as needed


* Reconcile general ledger accounts


* Complete various monthly and quarterly reports as required


* Maintain customer credit files including conversion of all financials to US currency and input data for ratio calculation


* Calculate various taxes including GST, VAT, etc.


* Review and analyze WIP jobs


* Review and analyze Gross Margin reports


* Assist with customer setups and export control reviews


* All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Skills Required


* High School Diploma or GED required


* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required


* 2 years of industry experience required
