Technical Writer Manufacturing (Bloomington, MN)
This position has the responsibility and authority to drive, create and edit work instructions and associated training materials for all CPP-Minneapolis employees.
This individual will be primarily responsible for creating and revising technical work instructions for products manufactured at CPP-Minneapolis
This position is based in Bloomington, MN and is required to be on-site.
Remote applicants will not be considered.

Job description
* Work with various team members to gather information from production technicians, subject-matter experts and technical staff to develop, organize, and write procedures, training materials, and process documentation
* Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
* Write easy-to-understand training materials, work instructions and internal communication, as requested
* Plans, develops, writes, and edits detailed technical instructions for manufacturing personnel
* Produces PDF and HTML/web-based publications using a variety of tools
* Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for highly technical and less technical users
* Documents engineering processes and specifications
* Recommends formats responsive to technical and user requirements
* Produces products that conform to company documentation and quality assurance standards
* Partner with third-party vendors on various projects, as needed
* Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify risks and issues and devise mitigation strategies and contingency plans
* Plan, schedule and track project milestones.
* Estimate resources and participant needs to deliver project on time and budget
* Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals and requirements
* Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
* Perform work at the Bloomington facility
* Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
Qualilfications
* BS in Technical Writing or Engineering with Technical Writing experience
* 4 years of experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
* Articulate Storyline
* Adobe FrameMaker
