Sales Account Spec III

Position Summary

Sales Account Specialists build and maintain relationships with current customers while helping the sales staff seek new customers.

The position is also responsible for entering all order requests, invoicing, & collecting past-due invoices.

Because of this, attention to detail is a key component to their daily work.

This position profile identifies the key responsibilities and expectations for performance.

It cannot encompass all specific job tasks that an employee may be required to perform.

Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform job-related duties as may be required by his/her supervisor.

Key Performance Areas (Essential Functions of the Position) 


* Enters orders.


* Assists customers with order changes. 


* Maintains customer information.


* Works with logistics to get freight quotes.


* Processes paperwork for invoicing.


* Gathers information for sales staff regarding monthly sales.


* Set up new customers.


* Collects past-due invoices.


* Helps to maintain customer relationships.

Experiences / Education Requirements 


* High School Diploma or equivalent, minimum one year experience in an accounting position.


* Familiarity with Microsoft applications, especially Excel & Word.


* Experience with an ERP system is preferred.


* Proficient on 10-key.

Working Conditions

General Office Environment:

Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.

The working environment is generally favorable.

Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, etc.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a Full/Part Time position.

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with an occasional Weekend.
