Plant Scheduler, End Finishing & Threading South Operations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Provide the Mass Production South Operations with production plans consistent with the sales forecast, that maximizes efficiency, resources & capacity.


* Perform various production control activities including use of materials, monitoring customer orders, posting production schedules, and calculating production rates.


* Develop production plans using the sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations, and internal supply constraints.


* Develop and convert weekly plans to daily schedules within the available capacity.


* Plan and establish production schedules for plant operations to balance customer requirements with inventory control policies, monitor material inventories, track progress of production, and review factors, which affect production schedules.


* Gather and analyze data to develop insights used for the optimization of the downstream operations.


* Perform supply plan analysis, highlighting areas of concern for the next 12 months.


* Understanding of product specifications and their effect on allocation of material.


* Ensure change over times, standard hours, rates and demonstrated capacity are accurately reflected in the planning system(s).


* Continuously review the movement of materials and other supply chain processes to identify sources of problems and to develop suggestions for solutions.


* Responsible for determining the desired inventory levels to meet both service and inventory targets.


* Pre/Direct allocation of green tube and aged inventory, claim returns, rejects and downgraded material in the most cost-efficient manner


* Track, analyze & prepare reports on aged inventory for PRI meetings


* Monitor and manage available inventory, allocate to customer orders, monitor for overages during the production process, communicate overages to sales to minimize PRI, meet PRI objectives


* Monitor customer orders for shortages during the production process, communicate short orders to sales for disposition


* Identify underperforming areas in the supply chain by analyzing costs, capacity, and demand patterns.


* Prepare reports or dashboards to provide reliable activity data to stakeholders.


* Analyze short term constraints establishing recommendations for resolution.

Work cross functionally to execute agreed solution.


* Maintain data quality and integrity within the scheduling tools.


* Strong collaboration with Inventory Control, Upstream Supply Planning, Operations, Sales, and Management to meet business goals.


* Analyze, track and report customer on time delivery information


* Create and manage weekly and month end reports as scheduled.


* Develop programs and/or SOPs that increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency to the organization


* Work in multiple plant sites to cover operational duties, as needed.
